Climate and environmental science generates massive datasets from satellites, drones and measuring stations. AI can help to make sense of this data. At this workshop we will showcase examples of AI for climate and environmental science and discuss how we can apply AI to typical datasets generated in this domain. This workshop is organized by the Pufendorf Theme "The Air We Breathe 2.0" in collaboration with AI Lund, COMPUTE and the Faculty of Medicine sustainability working groups.

09:00 – 09:30

Sonja Aits (Lund University)

Why the Pufendorf Theme “The Air We Breathe – 2.0”, COMPUTE and AI Lund have teamed up: Opportunities at the interface of AI and climate/environmental science
