2012 Summer Retreat

The first annual retreat for COMPUTE took place 20-21 August, 2012, at Hotel Åhus Strand, in Åhus. There were 55 registered participants for the meeting. The theme for the retreat was "Science Communication".

Sara Santesson from Department of Communication and Media, Lund University, was a specially invited guest, who, besides giving an introduction how to give a popular science presentations, gave input on the 10 PhD student presentations. Oxana Smirnova gave a keynote presentation on grid computing. Michael Green, Lund University alumnus, entertained during the evening lecture.
